OxfordSavate are hosting an open training day this Saturday, an opportunity for Savateurs and other martial artists to train and grade with many highly experienced fighters and instructors.

The training day will include parallel sessions in Savate technique, ringcraft, Self Defense, La Canne (stick fighting), judging and refereeing practice. There will also be opportunities to watch and even spar some of the best fighters in the world along with lower glove gradings and focussed discussions on training techniques and nutrition.

It will be suitable for other kickboxers/martial artists to come and cross-train. Please be advised that if you wish to spar you will be required to bring a mouthguard and purchase GBSF insurance (£16). We spar with boxing gloves, flat-soled shoes, and also shinpads and a box where possible. There will be some kit on sale, but it’s advisable to check the website (www.oxfordsavate.co.uk) and order in advance via email if required. (NB. Over 18s only).

Cost:

£10 GBSF licence holders                                                                         (£9 advanced bookings online)
